Where are you located?

I'm based in the beautiful Southern California town of Redlands, known for it's historic downtown and sweet-smelling orange groves.

Do you travel?

Yes, I do! I love to see and photograph new places, and do travel on occasion, although I primarily shoot around Southern CA in order to stay near my two little boys ;-)

Do you photograph anything other than weddings?

Certainly! After shooting weddings for about a decade now, a lot of my couples have turned into growing families, so I've had the opportunity to document some pretty great milestones for them (maternity, newborn, family, vow renewals, anniversaries etc). I take a very similar approach to photographing families as I do to weddings; I love to interact and engage with you, but I find equal joy in stepping back and allowing moments to unfold naturally. It's always my goal to capture your natural chemistry, energy and personality, while making you look your best :-)

Should we do an Engagement Session?

Definitely! In fact, most of my Wedding Collections include an E-Session. I like to think of it as a perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other better. You'll get to experience what it's like being in front of my camera, which makes shooting on your wedding day that much easier and more fun for all of us!

When should we do our Engagement Session?

That partly depends on how far in advance you book your wedding, but generally speaking, I recommend doing an E-Session about 4-6 months before your wedding. This allows time to include some photos in Save-The-Date announcements and/or invitations as well as gives you time to have prints made to display at your wedding/reception. Another fun way to use Engagement photos is to make a custom Guestbook for your guests to sign. Super fun! When scheduling your E-Session, you may want to also consider the season/weather. Sometimes it's nice to have Engagement photos that match the season and colors of your wedding, while other times, people want their Engagement and Wedding photos to be very different from each other.

What is a Bridal Session?

A Bridal Session is typically done sometime after your wedding day, usually within the first year and as early as a few days later or when you return from your honeymoon (with that sun-kissed glow!). These sessions aren't subject to the strict time and location constraints of a wedding day, and you don't have to worry about getting your dress dirty :-) We can really make this whatever you want it to be. Whether you'd like a more intimate session to show off your beautiful lingerie (a great gift for the hubby!), or if you simply want another chance to wear that gorgeous dress again, we'll make it happen. And of course it doesn't have to be just for the bride, BOTH of you are welcome!

Do you have a 2nd photographer?

For weddings, yes. It's so important to have that extra perspective. So much happens on a wedding day and it's just not possible for me to be everywhere at once (I haven't figured out that superpower yet!). Having an extra pair of eyes with a different perspective will bring that much more depth to the story of your day.

How many photos will I get?

For the average 7-9 hour wedding, you'll get approx 500 photos, give or take.

Can I purchase High Resolution images from you?

Yes. High res images are included in most packages, but may also be purchased for up to one year after your wedding.

How soon can I expect to receive my wedding photos?

You'll receive your photos approx 3-5 weeks after your wedding.

Do you edit all the images?

All the high res photos you receive are carefully edited and color corrected. All photos that are included in your Wedding Book or prints that are ordered through me also include re-touching if needed, to make you look your absolute best (don't worry, nothing "fake" or "plastic" looking)!

Do you offer wedding albums?

I do, and they're beautiful! It makes me so happy when photos are seen in all their glory, on the printed page, the way they were intended to be viewed, rather than just on a computer or tiny phone screen. I take a story-telling approach to my photography, so it only makes sense that you see your story in the form of a lovely Fine Art Wedding Book that is an extension of that story.

Do you offer videography?

At this time, I only offer photography services.

Should I hire a wedding planner?

That depends. Having a wedding planner can be a real lifesaver, especially if you don't have the time, energy or even desire to put together a wedding. But if you are the creative organized type, and prefer DIY, then hiring a wedding planner may not be necessary. Keep in mind though that you'll definitely want to at least have a Day-Of (aka Month-Of) Coordinator to make sure all the details of the day go as planned. This way you won't have to designate a family member to run the show, or worse yet, have to boss people around yourself. Lots of Wedding Planners also offer Day-Of services, so I definitely recommend looking at your options and finding someone you trust and like.

Any do's/don't for makeup on my wedding day?

It's a great idea to hire a professional make-up artist! Find someone who will do one or two trials on you before the wedding, so you can be sure you like their style/technique. Some brides even choose to have a professional do their make-up for the E-Session, which is definitely a great option to consider. As a general rule, you'll probably wear more make-up on your wedding day than you would normally, but keep in mind, you want your make-up to enhance your natural beauty, not transform you into a completely different person. It should make you feel confident and beautiful, not self-conscious. If you're going to be fidgeting with those fake lashes all day, skip 'em. If you're one of the lucky ones who can pull off red lips, you'll probably want to find a lipstick that won't rub off onto your groom (because I don't think he's planning to wear lipstick!) And please, please . . . no glitter! Just saying' ;-)

How can I book you?

Super simple. Just submit a contact form here on my site and give me a little basic info about yourself and your wedding. I'll contact you, and we can get the ball rolling from there.

I still have questions, how can I contact you?

I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Just ask!
